“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second
death.” (Rev 20:14)

Hell in this instance is the koine greek word Hades.

Some mock this scripture, like the JW saying how can this be?

Who is “Death and Hades”?

“And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was
Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the
fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with
death, and with the beasts of the earth.” (Rev 6:8)

Here it states that it is the horseman who road on the pale horse. And Hades
followed with him, and power was given ‘them’. Notice here the dark angel
of death. And that answers those that disparage the word of God asking how
death and Hades can be thrown into the lake of Fire.

Jesus said. “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for
evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” (Rev 1:18)

Keys means/ speaks of authority over them. Just as Yeshua gave to Peter
“Keys”

kleis

Thayer Definition:

1) a key

1a) since the keeper of the keys has the power to open and to shut

1b) metaphorically in the NT to denote power and authority of various kinds

Christ Jesus also gave to those on this earth ‘keys’ to do the work of
His Heavenly Father.

Look it up, it is exciting.

Thayer is a lexicon, not a dictionary. The abridged version just lists
all the different senses in which a given word is translated (like
Strong), without showing which senses apply to which passages of
Scripture. In the unabridged version, Thayer associates the accurate
sense of the word for a given passage.

That's why you end up making a fool out of yourself about 75% of the
time you reference Thayer. You think you get to look at a list of all
the different senses of the word, then arbitrarily pick the definition
you want for some passage, often choosing a wrong sense of the word,
which doesn't even apply to the passage you've chosen.

Thayer's Unabridged Greek-English lexicon:

κλείς, -δός, acc. κλεῖδα and κλεῖν (Lk. 11:52; Rev. 3:7), acc. plur.
κλεῖδας and κλεῖς (Mt. 16:19; Rev. 1:18; cf. Kühner § 130, i. p. 357; W.

Since the keeper of the keys has the power to open and to shut, the word
κλείς is fig. used in the N. T. to denote power and authority of various
kinds [cf. B. D. s. v. Key], viz. τοῦ φρέατος, to open or unlock the
pit, Rev. 9:1, cf. 2; τῆς ἀβύσσου, to shut, Rev. 20:1, cf. 3; τοῦ
θανάτου καὶ τοῦ ᾅδου, the power to bring back into life from Hades and
to leave there, Rev. 1:18; τῆς γνώσεως, the ability and opportunity to
obtain knowledge, Lk. 11:52; τῆς βασιλείας τῶν οὐρανῶν (see βασιλεία, 3
e. p. 97 sub fin.), Mt. 16:19; τοῦ Δαυΐδ, the power of David (who is a
type of the Messiah, the second David), i.e. of receiving into the
Messiah’s kingdom and of excluding from it, Rev. 3:7 (apparently after
Is. 22:22, where ἡ κλ. οἴκου Δαυΐδ is given to the steward of the royal
palace).*

Thayer, J.H. (1889) A Greek-English lexicon of the New Testament: being

Notice that in the unabridged edition, it shows which senses of the word
apply to which passages of Scripture. You don't just look at a list of
all the possible ways a word may be translated (which is about all the
abridged version shows), then arbitrarily decide which sense of the word
applies to the passage you choose.

The main meaning of κλείς denotes that someone has the power and
authority to do something. It is translated "key" by implication.

Let's check who is the self-righteous Pharisee here:

“Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they
were righteous, and despised others:

You despise others! You consistently call anyone and everyone a
'sinner-christian', etc.

“Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a
tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I
thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers,
or even as this tax collector.

Who feigns they are not like other men who sin? YOU DO! YOU'RE the one
claiming you haven't sinned even a single time in over 37 years!.

I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ And the tax
collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to
heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the
other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who
humbles himself will be exalted.” (Luke 18:9–14, NKJV)

So yes, YOU are the one acting like an arrogant Pharisee! YOU are the
one despising everyone in here, calling them 'sinner-whores'! YOU,
LOSER, claim YOU have no sin nature! YOU claim YOU haven't sinned a
single time in over 37 years. Who believes that? NO ONE. We are not
ignorant about your daily sin. YOU ARE.

“If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in
us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our
sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not
sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. My little
children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But
if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ
the righteous.” (1 John 1:8–2:1, ESV)

The Word of God directly states that you are the one who is
self-deceived, and who lacks the truth and the word of God Why does it
say "deceive ourselves", you may ask? Because no one else is deceived
into thinking you never sin! We know you sin! We observe you sin on a
daily basis! You don't DECEIVE us--just yourself!

You walk in your self-deceived delusion day after day, year after year,
trying to justify your daily sins by claiming you haven't sinned and by
accusing everyone but yourself of being a "sinner-whore", "sinner
Christian", "Pharisee", "perfect-sinner", etc. That's what YOU are! YOU
are trying to justify your OWN failures by making others a vicarious
atonement for your own sins rather than relying on Christ's propitiating
atonement and advocacy with the Father, as Scripture prescribes for
believers.

John's not talking about a once-for-all confession of sin at the moment
of salvation. Jesus' atonement is once for all. The instruction to
confess is in the present tense. It means if you're a believer who has
the word of God and truth in you, you will "keep on admitting" you have
a sin nature and "keep on confessing" your sin. This is clearly shown by
Jesus model prayer for His disciples to ask for DAILY forgiveness:

“Pray then like this...Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us
our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” (Matthew 6:9b, 11–12, ESV)

It's also evident in His instruction to His disciples to forgive a
"brother" if he "repents", 490 times PER DAY:

“Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother
sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said
to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.”
(Matthew 18:21–22, ESV)

“Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him;
and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times
in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’
you shall forgive him.”” (Luke 17:3–4, NKJV)

You don't do that. You say that if the person admits to even a single
sin, he's an unbelieving "sinner-whore", etc. You are NOT following the
Lord's instructions, therefore, you are NOT His follower.

Paul admitted he had a sin nature which waged war against his regenerate
mind:

“So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close
at hand. For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, but I see
in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and
making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Wretched
man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?” (Romans
7:21–24, ESV)

He looked forward in HOPE towards the day when he would be set free from
the very presence of this sin nature:

“For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because
of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set
free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory
of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been
groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the
creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit,
groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption
of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is
not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do
not see, we wait for it with patience.” (Romans 8:20–25, ESV)

You would not "HOPE" for freedom from this corrupt nature, if you
already saw it and had it! That's what Scripture teaches! You make up
your own fake religion and pretend like it's what the God we know from
the Bible wants. You're a LIAR!

The believer has been freed from SLAVERY to sin (Romans 6-7). This
happens when he knows He died with Christ to sin and rose with Him to
newness of life, counts it to be true, then yields his members as
instruments of righteousness to God (Romans 6). However, he has not yet
been delivered from the presence of that old nature which wages war
against his new nature. The Bible clearly teaches this throughout the
ENTIRE New Testament: https://christrose.news/sin-nature. That's why
Galatians, for example exhorts BELIEVERS to yield to the Spirit rather
than the flesh! What "flesh"? The flesh that wages war against the
Spirit within EVERY true believer. If believers didn't have a sin
nature, they wouldn't be instructed not to yield to it, and they
wouldn't be getting rebuked for yielding to it! How DUMB do you think
people are, not to notice what the Bible teaches about that?

So SHUT YOUR MOUTH, you LYING, SELF-DECEIVED, SELF-JUSTIFYING,
SELF-RIGHTEOUS PHARISEE!

This is clearly shown by
“Pray then like this...Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us
our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” (Matthew 6:9b, 11–12, ESV)
It's also evident in His instruction to His disciples to forgive a
“Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother
sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said
to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven
times.” (Matthew 18:21–22, ESV)
“Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him;
and if he repents, forgive him.
“So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close
at hand. For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, but I see
in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and
making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Wretched
man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?” (Romans
7:21–24, ESV)
He looked forward in HOPE towards the day when he would be set free from
“For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because
of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set
free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory
of the children of God.
So SHUT YOUR MOUTH, you LYING, SELF-DECEIVED, SELF-JUSTIFYING, SELF-
RIGHTEOUS PHARISEE!
