Discussion:
The churches are a lie, false prophets, and full of pretence.

1) They strive to be what the bible says they should be.

Its indisputable. That alone should send up alarm bells.

2) They then declare that they are the Church, saved, and keep trying to
establish themselves by repeating bible verses again and again and again.

In summary, they are trying to save themselves.

Go to any sermon and simply listen. A leopard can't change its spots,
or what is false can never be the truth, no matter how much striving and
straining is done.

I know it is free. I did nothing to earn it. It was all a gift, or
unmerited favor. It didn't cost me a goat, lamb, dove, bull, nothing,
he offered to give me salvation and the righteousness of God for all
my sin. What a deal!

You haven't received it. You won't let go of you.

There is no God looking down and seeing sinners running around as
righteous through the blood of Jesus. That is just man made Christian
sinner doctrine/theology. A sinner is a sinner, and a righteous man is
righteousness.

As you know, the mark of the Holy Spirit is *righteousness*, and that's
not talking part-timer, Buddy.

To receive what you are talking about requires something, real faith,
true faith...

Luk_9:24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever
will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

There is no walking down the isle, adherence to some religious man made
church doctrine, and name it and claim it theology. Well, there is, but
its bullshit.

Like you, you're bullshit.

Your "God" sounds more like Adolf Hitler.
You don't know what NewTest. *righteousness* is. Almost no one
today does. There is no real Christianity any more.
It is all misunderstood, and far from what Jesus was teaching.
The Bible is NOT an accurate record of the words of the Prophets.
"Luk_9:24" above is NOT the original words.
The "for my sake" does not fit, and probably was added by the RCC.
There is no real Christianity any more.

Real Christianity was about "Entering the Kingdom", i.e. enlightenment.
Just like Shinto, Zen, Taoism, etc. The Biblical expressions used to talk
about it are easily converted. *Righteousness* means living in harmony,
"becoming one with" with the Laws of the Universe, the Laws of Yin/Yang.
It means a non-ego mind, just as Luk_9:24 says.

If he thinks we are too weak to change our ways, then he's not talking about us
but instead himself. After all, he's his own example.

1) They strive to be what the bible says they should be.
Its indisputable. That alone should send up alarm bells.
2) They then declare that they are the Church, saved, and keep trying to
establish themselves by repeating bible verses again and again and again.
A true Christian fully understands that Jesus will advise us of our salvation,
or not, at the moment of our judgment before him when we die.
And then, when you find out that you aren't? It shows you weren't all
along. There is something so desperately wrong with your scenario and
that you accept that it makes others think that you are being played
for a fool. Why would God leave you hanging out on a limb to dry?
To do the very thing he calls us to do: repent of our sins, pick up our own
cross, and follow Jesus.
You think it's free. Bad news.
the dukester, American-American
I know it is free. I did nothing to earn it. It was all a gift, or
unmerited favor. It didn't cost me a goat, lamb, dove, bull, nothing,
he offered to give me salvation and the righteousness of God for all
my sin. What a deal!
Then why did Jesus tell us that we are to repent of our sins, pick up our own
cross and follow him?
Because if you do not change your ways and follow him you are not a
believer. He came to those who change their evil ways.
What is your cross?
You don't need to be a "believer". That's a major mistake.

Acts 10:34-36 New International Version (NIV)
34 Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not
show favoritism 35 but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does
what is right. 36 You know the message God sent to the people of Israel,
announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.

Mat 22:38  This is the first and great commandment.

hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Why did Jesus tell us to feed the hungry, clothe the
naked, give drink to the thirst , that our faith is dead faith without deeds of
love, He didn't and I have quoted that to you many times.
that we are to love and obey God and love our neighbor as we love
ourselves, that if we CONTINUE TO SIN AFTER WE LEARN THE TRUTH, THE ONLY THING
LEFT FOR US ARE THE FIRES OF HELL.
He didn't command us to do that.
Mat 22:37  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with
all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38  This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour
as thyself.
Mat 22:40  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Rod, Jesus never commanded us to do those things. It was not a
commandment that he gave us, but he was referring to a question some
Jews asked him about what was the greatest of the commandments of
Moses. Jesus not only told him, but told him the reason why, verse 40.

Jesus was speaking to the Jews about Judaism at the time.

Jesus did give us a New Commandment and he also gave us the reason for
that commandment. No one here seems to pay much attention to it, not
the reason for it.

Heb 10:26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the
knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery
indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
This is not a commandment. But it was an addon thought of Earls who

Heb 10:28  He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or
Heb 10:29  Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought
worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the
blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and
hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Both those verses are tied together as one thought. No one then or now
is killed even if there are five or ten witnesses that someone broke
Moses' law, that was all over with when Christ died and resurrected.

Now, instead of the law being written and published to all Christians
to follow, God writes those laws on our hearts of flesh for them that
are born again, and they then become the desire of our heart to do,
instinctively without even thinking about it, and that mainly because
God gives us Love, to operate by. And Love fulfills all the law as he
stated to the Jews.

This was also all foretold in Jeremiah 33

Bad news.

I know it is free. I did nothing to earn it. It was all a gift, or

that Paul saw it differently; as a burden that could

It's the law of love, Robert. Reason dictates that if
you love God you also love your neighbor and value his

ahead of yourself. That is the way love operates.

The logic of love guarantees that you will not offend

burden? Because there are people that will not surrender
completely to God. Yes, Christ paid the price for everyone
up to the point of them transgressing deliberately to rub

No Robert, the Gentiles were not given the law. As I recall
we are to abstain from idol worship and not to eat meat
sacrificed to idols, and no other burdens were placed upon us
at that time. However, after conversion most of Pauls followers
were also obedient to the laws of love, meaning they did not

just stir up the pot. Yet I was hoping to be able to clarify it with

It's the law of love, Robert. Reason dictates that if
you love God you also love your neighbor and value his
life higher than your own; in other words you put others
ahead of yourself. That is the way love operates.
I help my neighbor, as you asked above, but not from the standpoint of
any law, other than the law of Faith. I do it because it is a natural
part of by being, a desire to do so. I have even helped some who never
asked, and most people would have never known they were in need, and
the only reason I knew it was because the Lord told me, or my wife
about it. That is also what Paul teaches as the law written on our
hearts of flesh, not the mind, that in effect establishes the Mosaic
Law as being laws given by God.

Jesus, explained to the Jews of his day, that if a person were to just
act solely out of love towards all people and God, that by doing so
they would fulfill all the law, naturally. By doing so they would
have, as a people, not felt as if they were under a heavy burden.

Sort of like when your a kid and you have to do chores around the
house, and it was all a burden, but as an adult you took care of your
parents doing the same thing but out of Love, so it was no big deal.

But Jesus did not command these things to us, and God did not tell him
to command these things to us. Instead as Born Again believers he
wrote the desire to do these things on our hearts. We are not stuck
with studying the Law, with its blessings and Curses.

But Jesus did give us a New Commandment. A different commandment.

the commandments without effort. So why is it seen as a
burden? Because there are people that will not surrender

Jesus offended many, he also overturned the tables of the Money
Changers in the temple, he was also ostracized for not washing his
hands when he was invited to a house to eat and then he chewed out a
lawyer when he piped up. In today's PC world many are offended easily
or perceive themselves or someone else offended by the PC moment of
the day.

Jesus has paid for the sins of every man, even those who like Paul
drug his name through the mud. He never stops forgiving. Some men pull
themselves out of his grace via continual sin, they renounce him.
Jesus said he would never leave us nor forsake us. However, that does
not stop men from departing him.

The New commandment is and was very specific. You spoke without regard
to it in both of your posts. There is a huge difference between the
letter of the Law and following it with out minds, that the laws of
God written upon the hearts of those that believe in Jesus Christ.

God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son are not the same person. Jesus
very clearly spoke regarding God the Father as greater than he, He
also very clearly Called God the Father, My God and your God. They are
of one mind, one purpose. The Law of Moses was fulfilled by Jesus.

Jesus was abandoned by God for a time, when he was on the Cross.

To be "obedient to any law" you have to be conscious of it at all
times, but when it is second nature to your spirit, and you walk in
the spirit it is effortless and you do not deliberately transgress.

is killed even if there are five or ten witnesses that someone broke
Moses' law, that was all over with when Christ died and resurrected.
Now, instead of the law being written and published to all Christians
to follow, God writes those laws on our hearts of flesh for them that
are born again, and they then become the desire of our heart to do,
instinctively without even thinking about it, and that mainly because
God gives us Love, to operate by. And Love fulfills all the law as he
stated to the Jews.
This was also all foretold in Jeremiah 33

Post by duke
I know this, Robert, but..he who has seen the son has seen the Father.
that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
Joh_12:49  For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent
me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
Well Rod, I had to do some thinking on what you posted here, and if I
read you right you are saying in effect that all the commandments of
God as written, stand.
Robert, I realize in Pauls confrontation with Peter
that Paul saw it differently; as a burden that could
not be met, but tell me Robert; do you transgress the
commandments? Do you love God before all else? Do you
love your neighbor as much as yourself, enough to help
when he needs help?
Rod, I was treading lightly regarding what you brought up, I
understand what has gone on in the recent past and your feelings about
it. I wanted to say something about this when you mentioned it to
Matt, because you are seeing things improperly and I did not want to
just stir up the pot. Yet I was hoping to be able to clarify it with
you, and you brought it up here, so I questioned it, timidly.
Post by R☼d
Post by R☼d
The logic of love guarantees that you will not offend
or do harm to others, and by it's very nature has kept
the commandments without effort. So why is it seen as a
burden? Because there are people that will not surrender
completely to God. Yes, Christ paid the price for everyone
up to the point of them transgressing deliberately to rub
Christs name in the mud.

No Robert, the Gentiles were not given the law. As I recall
we are to abstain from idol worship and not to eat meat
sacrificed to idols, and no other burdens were placed upon us
at that time. However, after conversion most of Pauls followers
were also obedient to the laws of love, meaning they did not
deliberately transgress the commandments.
Granted, however they are both God, the Greater being the Father,
of one mind and a command from jesus comes from the Father.

very clearly spoke regarding God the Father as greater than he, He
also very clearly Called God the Father, My God and your God. They are
of one mind, one purpose.

But it was an addon thought of Earls who
said we are to "that we are to love and obey God and love our neighbor
as we love ourselves" was a commandment of Jesus. It was not. He said
it was a right thing to do and why.

Here is the actions of God regarding the old covenant.

Isa 28:18  And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your
agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge
shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

Which was prophesied for this time and beyond.

Reiterated in the NT. Paul speaks plainly about the commandments of
death in Romans and elsewhere.

Heb 7:18  For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going
before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

The covenant made with Abraham was clearly kept.
The covenant of or by Faith.

Gal 3:15  Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but
a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or
addeth thereto.

And that covenant could not be disannulled by the Mosaic law that came
400 years afterwards. Gal 3:17

Just to be clear from my end on this. The basics of the law is written
in our hearts, and by our actions we prove that the law was true.
However, ...

Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there
had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness
should have been by the law. But the scripture hath concluded all
under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to
them that believe. (Gal 3:21-22 KJV)

There are not two paths to God, just one.

We will have to agree to disagree on a few things. The first one is
that if God IS LOVE, then LOVE does not demand a blood sacrifice
to atone for wrongs, only a change of heart. To demand a blood
sacrifice is to go against LOVE'S very nature, making LOVE a
monstrosity, unworthy of adoration and to be avoided.

Hebrews 9:15-18 Common English Bible (CEB)
Christ’s death and the new covenant
15 This is why he’s the mediator of a new covenant (which is a will): so that
those who are called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance on the
basis of his death. His death occurred to set them free from the offenses
committed under the first covenant. 16 When there is a will, you need to confirm
the death of the one who made the will. 17 This is because a will takes effect
only after a death, since it’s not in force while the one who made the will is
alive. 18 So not even the first covenant was put into effect without blood.

Remission of sin., read the rest of the chapter. Jesus did this once,

Bad news.

I thought Robert understood that Jesus is Lord God.

worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the
blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and
hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Both those verses are tied together as one thought. No one then or now
is killed even if there are five or ten witnesses that someone broke
Moses' law, that was all over with when Christ died and resurrected.
Now, instead of the law being written and published to all Christians
to follow, God writes those laws on our hearts of flesh for them that
are born again, and they then become the desire of our heart to do,
instinctively without even thinking about it, and that mainly because
God gives us Love, to operate by. And Love fulfills all the law as he
stated to the Jews.
This was also all foretold in Jeremiah 33

I am not pushing anything like you said. I made the same points to you
as he taught when he was here visibly, that being that he specifically
stated "a new commandment I give...." and that it is distinguished
separately from what you insist was commandments of Jesus.

To make it extremely simple for you. If a couple Jews asked Jesus,
what is the most reliable car to drive and own, and he said a Lexus,
then he gave them his opinion. No commandment was given. None
inferred. That is basically what happened and yet you continue to make
an issue out of it that was not meant, or inferred.

After Jesus spoke to them about the law question, he then stated that
if those people has simply walked in love they would have
automatically fulfilled the law. He told them that it was possible all
along. Yet you insist he gave them two new commandments, not me, you.
And you are the one making a huge deal out of something and thus
generating new dogma.

If you don't, your goose is cooked.

Yet you sin wilfully all the time with your lies. Never seeking
forgiveness here for any of them.
I never lie on the ng. You better go to confession for your wrongful comments.
You just did again, you forget that you even admitted lying, several
times on these NG's. Your own words condemn you.

How totally sad.
What is truly sad is that your understanding is zero.
What is truly said is that you are clueless to the teachings of Jesus as he
brought the new covenant to us. It's silly to push the idea that Jesus must
declare something a "command" in order to lay it on the line.
I am not pushing anything like you said. I made the same points to you
as he taught when he was here visibly, that being that he specifically
stated "a new commandment I give...." and that it is distinguished
separately from what you insist was commandments of Jesus.
When God speaks, it's a commandment. When he gave us the Holy Mass and 7
sacraments, he wasn't playing your game.
No Holy Mass or otherwise. That in an RCC thing.
Directly specified by Jeus Christ in the gospels. Of course, you're scared to
death to read the 4 gospels.
Post by Robert
No seven sacraments
either, that is a recent RCC thing. So sense lying about it, you have
been shown many times by various people the truth in that.
Same. You're going down, boy, with your stupid ideas.

If you feel satisfied in refusing these, it's your free choice to continue. You
too will get to stand before him in judgment and explain what you were thinking.

Question: Jesus advised that unless you eat his body and drink his blood, you
have no (spiritual) live in you - do you or don't you listen.
You don't even know what that means.
It's exactly what we Catholics do today.

The Torah was given to Jews. The new commandments of love were given to
Christians.
Show the "New Commandments".
No, becasue yuo don't give Jesus the common sense to have to "call something a
commandment" for you and your buddy satan to agree to follow it.

No. You live by exacting working - even to the point of questioning Jesus'
sanity.
Everyone that reads this can see that once again you have no scripture
to back up what you said. Your spiritual sanity is what is in
questions here.
I am not a pagan like you.

You see, you even full contradict yourself right there. Those to
commandments were old ones given to Moses and the Jews.
Yep, the Torah.
LOL, you just admitted again that they are old commandments.
Which part? The 10 commandments or the Torah? You refuse to follow either.

It isn't about 'Robert picture', it is about the truth.

No one is in one accord - *by God's standards* - with you, or with your
organisations, or within your organisations!

That straw man bullshit aside, do you even bother at any point examining
anything that is contrary to your opinion??

"They strive to be what the bible says they should be".

"The bible was never meant to replace the Lord Jesus Christ.

Unfortunately, it has".

"The Lord Jesus Christ and His Church never fails".

Why? Its simple..."Jesus is Lord", not a part-time Lord.

"They think the bible can save them".

"The Lord Jesus Christ is a Person, not a book. Yet, there they are day
and night trying to confine Him to the theology they would like as they
mine the bible to their own liking.

Why do you think there are thousands and thousands of denominations??"

You are not the righteousness of God. God's righteousness does not
'slip', or sin, or 'become' because you declare it of yourself because
you say you believe and claim a bible verse.

As for me. I have no truth of my own, never said I did. I do however
quote the scripture and I do stand on that. If it rubs you the wrong
way, what can I do about it. I didn't write it, I just get blamed for
what you don't like. Some day you'll figger that out.
